About the Role:
At Opal HealthCare, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older Australians. We are seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation Officer to join our Revenue Assurance team, playing a key role in managing aged care subsidy accruals, reconciliations, and funding accuracy.
This role is critical to ensuring compliance with government funding requirements while identifying opportunities to maximise subsidy revenue across our care communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile subsidy accruals (incl. AN-ACC)
- Reconcile accruals to government payment statements and cash received
- Investigate, report, and resolve funding variances
- Deliver clear variance reporting and insights to stakeholders
- Support month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate resident data and subsidy setup
- Partner with internal teams and Services Australia
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
About You:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in reconciliation or finance roles is essential
- Experience in high-volume, complex reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- Intermediate Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Proven ability to investigate discrepancies and deliver insights
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Aged care funding knowledge (AN-ACC) or regulated industry experience highly regarded
- Diploma in Accounting (essential); degree qualification desirable
