Job Summary
Veracio Junior Geoscientist's will hold a dynamic role, which includes, supporting Project Management of Veracio Global Operations and provide the timely and geological support/knowledge to Veracio Operations through the evaluation and analysis of data generated from the various Veracio scanning instruments and platforms. This support includes creating and presenting information to key stakeholders both within Veracio and external client engagement.
Veracio Geoscientists will primarily be based at regional offices in either Perth or Adelaide, Australia, with travel to operational sites as required (~30-50%). Travel may require geoscientists to work rosters which align with site requirements. This role requires flexibility to align with time zones of remotes and global teams, as well as impromptu travel as deployments and projects require.
Veracio geoscientists will require the ability to work remotely, be self-sufficient and manage their time effective, proactively and proficiently.
Job Duties:
Provide clients with geological knowledge and expert support of the collective datasets from various Veracio scanning instruments
Ensure the quality of the geochemical, geotechnical and mineralogical data produced from the various Veracio platforms aligns with Veracio QAQC standards
Support Project Management of day-to-day Veracio Global Operations, in alignment with Veracio standards and expectations
Interact with customers or Veracio key stake holders to report relevant project metrics and operational items
Create and maintain Project records and databases for Veracio global operations
Evaluate and review datasets captured by Veracio's technology for Quality assurance and checks in line with Veracio standards
Support and provide knowledge on troubleshooting technical issues tied to geochemical, geotechnical and mineralogical analytical equipment
Deliver QAQC calibrated and uncalibrated datasets produced from various Veracio platforms
Provide support and training, of Veracio' s Geochemical and geotechnical platforms to both internal and external stakeholders
Support the scanning operations team at Veracio project locations
Creating, drafting and formalizing technical reports for various stages of Veracio projects
Support Commercial discussions and documentation for Global Operations as required, or where Veracio platforms could add value
Support the commercial team with business development activities
As Geoscientist's increase knowledge and experience during employment at Veracio, responsibility, and accountability for processes, instruments, projects and deliverables will increase.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Geophysics and/or Geometallurgy
Background and/or understanding of XRF or infrared spectroscopy related hardware and software
Proficient in written and spoken English
Desirable experience:
Proficient knowledge of Mineral systems
Ore deposit knowledge
Basic Python, R Studio, SQL knowledge
Geological Lab experience
Mine site related field experience
Exploration knowledge and experience
XRF and Infrared spectroscopy technology experience tied to hard rock geochemistry
