Director Supply Chain

Our client, a prominent leader in the Logistics and Supply Chain, is seeking an experienced Director of Retail Supply Chain to lead and optimize their end-to-end supply chain operations. This strategic leadership role requires a strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and sustainability while aligning supply chain activities with broader business objectives based in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with organizational growth targets.
• Drive initiatives to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Build organizational capability through coaching and development of talent.
• Oversee demand planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement and refine supply chain processes, leveraging data analytics and technology to enhance decision-making.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions.
• Ensure business continuity by implementing contingency plans.
• Promote environmentally friendly practices, including sustainable sourcing and packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve carbon footprint reduction targets.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams.
• Integrate supply chain goals with commercial and operational strategies.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in retail supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of supply chain systems, tools, and best practices; experience with Oracle SCM Cloud, or SAP, is advantageous.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex supply chain networks in dynamic environments.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Prior experience in the CPG sector, particularly in APAC region, is highly desirable.
