About the Role

We are looking for a Resource Planner to join our Talent and Capability Team. In this role, you will play an important role in enabling effective resource planning, workforce optimisation and delivery outcomes across the organisation. This role coordinates the deployment of internal and external resources across projects and business units, maintains visibility of availability and demand, and provides insights to support allocation decisions.

You will work across a broad stakeholder group to improve visibility of talent, support internal mobility, and help the business respond to changing priorities. It is a role suited to someone who enjoys balancing data, judgement and stakeholder engagement to influence practical workforce outcomes.

Please note - this is a max term 12month contract.

What you will be involved in

  • Maintain a real-time view of current and upcoming resource availability, project allocations, and forecast demand across the organisation.
  • Match consultants to opportunities based on capability, preferences, and availability, and provide recommendations on options, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Partner with the business to identify resource needs and support work-smoothing and scenario modelling for RFQs and bids.
  • Monitor consultant capacity, roll-ons and roll-offs to identify bench risk, over-allocation, coverage gaps, and redeployment opportunities.
  • Facilitate internal mobility by improving visibility of available talent and coordinating movement between projects, functions, and business units.
  • Maintain reliable workforce and resourcing data, including skills, experience, qualifications, preferences, availability, and assignments.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and planning tools that provide clear insights on utilisation, availability, internal mobility trends, and future resourcing constraints.

What we would like from you

  • Experience in resource coordination, workforce planning, scheduling, or project resource management in professional environments.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and issues from workforce data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build trust, ask questions, challenge assumptions, influence outcomes, and raise issues appropriately.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or related workforce planning or modelling tools, preferably Oracle Project Resource Management module.
  • A commercial understanding of how resourcing decisions, internal mobility, utilisation, billability, and bench management affect revenue, delivery, and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility in day-to-day resourcing activity and stakeholder engagement while remaining adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, follow through on actions, and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
