We're looking for an experienced Business Intelligence & Reporting Consultant to join our technology team and play a key role in the development, support and evolution of our enterprise reporting and analytics environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Applications Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision-making across the organisation.
Working closely with business stakeholders, analysts and technology teams, you'll translate business requirements into robust reporting and analytics solutions, maintain our data warehouse environment, and provide expert support across our BI platforms.
This role offers a broad mix of project delivery, platform administration, data engineering, reporting development and business engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support enterprise reporting, analytics and data warehouse solutions.
- Develop and administer IBM Cognos Analytics and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platforms.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes, data integrations and warehouse solutions using WhereScape RED, Alteryx and SQL.
- Optimise and troubleshoot reporting, data and database solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business-focused solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, including Framework Manager, report/dashboard development, security and platform administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including cube design, rules, TurboIntegrator (TI), PAW and PAfE development.
- Advanced SQL and database expertise, including query optimisation, stored procedures, performance tuning and relational data modelling.
- Experience developing and supporting data warehouse, ETL/ELT and reporting solutions using WhereScape RED and Alteryx.
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data environments, reverse engineer legacy solutions and manage technical debt.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable skills
- Exposure to Snowflake.
- Experience with Informatica.
- Experience in healthcare, clinical, financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of data governance, security and audit requirements.
