Portfolio Lead - Security, Voice & Cloud
The Product Portfolio Lead is accountable for the strategy, performance, and evolution of the assigned product portfolio across Enterprise, Government, and Wholesale segments. This role manages end-to-end commercial outcomes including revenue growth, margin expansion, market share, and customer value.
This leader defines what we build, why we build it, and how we win in the market, bringing deep domain expertise in products and translating technology trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics into a differentiated and future-ready portfolio. The role leads a team of Product Managers and operates as a critical bridge between Product, Technology, Sales, and Operations, ensuring strong alignment between strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own a clear, multi-year strategy for the assigned portfolio, aligned to business growth ambitions across Enterprise, Government, and Wholesale segments
- Identify priority growth areas, emerging technologies, and investment focus, and translate macro industry trends into a coherent, executable roadmap
- Own full P&L accountability for the assigned portfolio, including revenue, margin, and profitability outcomes
- Lead pricing strategy, packaging, and yield optimisation, ensuring all products have clear value propositions and deliver measurable commercial outcomes
- Drive disciplined investment decisions through strong business casing and performance tracking
- Lead the full lifecycle of assigned products from concept through launch, growth, optimisation, and retirement
- Set clear priorities across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with technology capacity and business objectives, and drive delivery excellence to ensure products are launched on time, at quality, and achieve their commercial intent
- Act as the organisation’s leading authority on the assigned products, maintaining deep understanding of customer needs, competitive positioning, and industry evolution
- Ensure strong alignment between product strategy and go-to-market execution by partnering closely with Sales and Marketing to define compelling segment-specific propositions and sales plays.
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with significant exposure to telecommunications or network-based products
- Proven ability to lead complex product portfolios and senior teams, with a strong track record of owning P&L outcomes and delivering sustained commercial growth
- Deep domain expertise in networking technologies including IP, long haul, transport, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and related areas, with the ability to translate technical capability into clear customer value propositions
- Highly developed strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively at both executive and operational levels.
