Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and inspiring Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping operations across one of Australia's most iconic island destinations. This leadership role is responsible for driving exceptional housekeeping standards across our accommodation, driving team performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction while fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture aligned with Hamilton Island's core values.

Working closely with key operational stakeholders, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives, optimise departmental performance and play a critical role in enhancing the overall guest experience.

Your Role

As Executive Housekeeper, you will lead and develop a large and diverse housekeeping team while overseeing all aspects of departmental operations. You will be responsible for workforce planning, budgeting, training and development, quality assurance, and driving operational excellence across the department.

Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business, you will ensure exceptional housekeeping standards are consistently delivered, guest expectations are exceeded, and strong financial and operational outcomes are achieved. Through effective leadership and a focus on continuous improvement, you will foster a high performing team culture that supports both employee engagement and outstanding guest experiences.

• Drive operational excellence, service standards, and guest satisfaction

• Manage departmental budgets, labour costs, and financial performance

• Develop business plans and support strategic objectives

• Oversee performance management, coaching, succession planning, and team development

• Optimise workforce productivity through effective rostering and resource planning

• Maintain quality, safety, compliance, and environmental standards

• Collaborate with key departments to resolve issues, manage risks, and deliver exceptional guest experiences

• Lead and inspire housekeeping teams across hotels and resorts

What we're looking for

You are a passionate hospitality leader with a strong background in large-scale resort housekeeping operations. A skilled people leader, you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy developing high performing teams, driving operational excellence, and achieving strong commercial outcomes in a fast paced environment.

To be successful, you will need:

• QLD Open/Unrestricted Driver Licence (Essential)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (Nationally Recognised) (Essential)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an Executive Housekeeper or similar management role
• Experience managing recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary processes
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and cost-control experience
