About the Team:

The Victoria University Psychology Clinic delivers highquality psychological therapy and assessment services to clients across the lifespan. The Clinic plays a central role in training postgraduate students in the Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Professional Psychology programs. The team consists of experienced clinicians and supervisors committed to supporting student development, client wellbeing, and evidencebased practice.

About the Role:

As an Academic Sessional Supervisor, you will provide highquality clinical supervision to provisional psychologists completing placements within the Clinic. You will guide students through therapeutic work, case formulation, intervention planning, and cognitive and educational assessments. Supervision is aligned with AHPRA guidelines and may be delivered in-person or online. This role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of psychologists while contributing to a supportive and collaborative clinical training environment.

Position Key Duties:

  • Provide individual supervision to provisional psychologists with a particular focus on cognitive assessment.
  • Guide supervisees in conducting, scoring, interpreting, and reporting on cognitive and educational assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WAIS-5, WRAT-5). Rating scales and questionnaires such as the BASC-3, CBCL, Conners-4, CAARS2, ASRS, SRS-2, Vineland-3, and ABAS-3 may be included as part of an assessment alongside a WISC-V, WAIS-5, and/or WRAT5 but are not offered as a standalone assessment.
  • Support the development of clinical reasoning, ethical practice, and professional identity.
  • Maintain documentation in line with AHPRA standards.

Position Details:

  • Classification: Academic Sessional
  • Salary (Hourly): Rates of pay vary by activity. The key activities for Academic Sessional Supervisors are: Psychology Supervision - ASPS $161.12 and Other Activities: Meetings - ASMOA $53.71.
  • Employment Type: Sessional
  • Hours per Week: As required.
  • Location: Sessions are conducted online/remotely.


About You:

You are an experienced psychologist with a passion for developing emerging practitioners.

You bring:

  • Current general registration with AHPRA.
  • Endorsement in Clinical, Educational & Developmental, or Neuropsychology preferred.
  • Board Approved Supervisor status.
  • Demonstrated competence in cognitive assessment across the lifespan including administering and interpreting cognitive and educational assessment tools (WISC-V, WAIS-5, WRAT-5) including rating scales and questionnaires (such as BASC-3, CBCL, Conners-4, CAARS2, ASRS, SRS-2, Vineland-3, and ABAS), and current use of such tools in your practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to support students to develop confidence and accuracy in test administration and scoring.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reflective practice, and a collaborative supervision style.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and highquality client care.
