About the Role


The Senior Workplace Relations specialist works across the business to provide specialist Workplace Relations advice and support including interpretation advice on Awards, enterprise agreements and relevant legislation, as well as building effective working relationships to support with complex case management activities including conduct and performance. The Senior Workplace Relations Specialist takes a lead role in bargaining of agreements and ensures all stakeholders are informed.

You apply your deep knowledge of workplace relations related legislation, industrial instruments and our policies and practices to provide expert advice and tools to leaders. The advice you provide effectively balances a Regis values-based decision-making approach with sustainable commercial outcomes for Regis and our residents.

The SWRS works closely with senior leaders, unions and key stakeholders, helping to build capability, drive governance and compliance, minimise risk and create positive workplace experiences for our people.


What the role entails

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and People & Culture teams, providing expert workplace relations and industrial relations guidance across a national footprint
  • Lead complex case management, support enterprise agreement interpretation, and work closely with unions, legal partners and senior stakeholders to achieve balanced, fair and compliant outcomes
  • Lead the development of enterprise bargaining strategy, analysis and negotiations ensuring a compliant bargaining process, and lead effective operationalization of new EAs.
  • Represent Regis in Fair Work Commission and other employment related proceedings.
  • Partner with stakeholders on organisational change, policy development, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert Workplace Relations leadership on merger and acquisition activities that facilitate commercial / operational objectives and employee engagement whilst minimising potential industrial and employment law risks.



What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law or Industrial Relations
  • Significant Workplace Relations experience including exposure to leading enterprise bargaining
  • Strong knowledge of industrial legislation, enterprise agreements and contemporary employment practices
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Commercial, operational and process improvement mindset
  • Experience in health is highly desirable
