Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisors, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of underground mobile equipment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Mechanical Trade Certificate)
  • Minimum 2 years underground mining experience
  • Strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment maintenance
  • Current WA Driver's Licence (C Class) (MR highly regarded)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR and Working at Heights
  • Ability to operate underground equipment for maintenance purposes
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Isolation & tagging procedures
    • Hazard & incident reporting
    • Safe lifting and housekeeping practices
    • Emergency response & mine site protocols

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Work in line with Redpath's "Safety - First, Last and Always" philosophy
  • Attend and actively participate in pre-starts and safety meetings
  • Complete pre-start checks, hazard reporting, and WPI inspections
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow all safety procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
  • Report all hazards, incidents, and equipment defects

Maintenance & Operations

  • Perform scheduled servicing and repairs on underground equipment
  • Identify and escalate potential equipment issues proactively
  • Execute maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Support trades and operations teams as required

Planning & Performance

  • Ensure materials and parts are ordered correctly and on time
  • Complete all work orders and documentation accurately
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Meet KPI expectations around safety, quality, and productivity
