Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisors, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of underground mobile equipment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Mechanical Trade Certificate)
- Minimum 2 years underground mining experience
- Strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment maintenance
- Current WA Driver's Licence (C Class) (MR highly regarded)
- Valid First Aid & CPR and Working at Heights
- Ability to operate underground equipment for maintenance purposes
- Solid understanding of:
- Isolation & tagging procedures
- Hazard & incident reporting
- Safe lifting and housekeeping practices
- Emergency response & mine site protocols
Health, Safety & Environment
- Work in line with Redpath's "Safety - First, Last and Always" philosophy
- Attend and actively participate in pre-starts and safety meetings
- Complete pre-start checks, hazard reporting, and WPI inspections
- Conduct risk assessments and follow all safety procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
- Report all hazards, incidents, and equipment defects
Maintenance & Operations
- Perform scheduled servicing and repairs on underground equipment
- Identify and escalate potential equipment issues proactively
- Execute maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Support trades and operations teams as required
Planning & Performance
- Ensure materials and parts are ordered correctly and on time
- Complete all work orders and documentation accurately
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Meet KPI expectations around safety, quality, and productivity
