About the Role:
We are a rehabilitation program for geriatric patients offering a short term (2-3 week) program to enable a safe return to their homes following a hospital stay. We are part of the NALHN Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division and our site is located at 26 Marks Road, Elizabeth, within the ACH building. NRICH is within 'Wattle House' and consists of 12 beds. We are a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of medical, nursing and allied health staff working together to achieve both rehabilitation and consumer goals.

What You'll Be DoingWorking within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), you'll join a dedicated geriatric medicine team delivering inpatient and consultative care to older patients across the northern Adelaide metropolitan region.
- Provide day-to-day clinical assessment and management of geriatric inpatients under consultant supervision
- Contribute to comprehensive geriatric assessments, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support the management of patients with complex, multi-system presentations including dementia, delirium, and falls
- Current general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Eligibility to work within SA Health under the relevant enterprise agreement for Service Registrars/RMOs
- Demonstrated clinical experience in general medicine or a related specialty
- Sound understanding of the principles of frailty, functional decline, and aged care pathways
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
To be eligible for this position, you must possess Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
