About The Role:
As the Senior Manager Integrated Workplace Solutions, you will spearhead the modernization of Victoria University's workplace strategy, ensuring alignment with our institutional goals. You will lead a skilled team to develop and implement innovative spatial solutions, leveraging data and business intelligence to anticipate future needs and optimize asset use. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering collaboration, enhancing employee experience, and delivering sustainable workplace initiatives that support VU's mission and values.
Position Key Duties:
- Lead the University-wide modern workplace function, managing spatial optimisation, project intake, relocations, and space inventory with a strong client-focused approach.
- Develop and implement a strategic modern workplace plan integrating physical and digital assets aligned with VU's strategic and operational goals.
- Use data-driven insights and business intelligence to identify emerging space needs and future workplace pressures, informing demand models and scenario planning.
- Provide strategic advice and evidence-based recommendations to senior management and University committees, ensuring timely and relevant reporting.
- Partner with People & Culture to enhance workplace efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience within a hybrid work environment.
- Oversee external reporting and benchmarking activities related to space planning, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Drive the development and implementation of digital tools and systems to strengthen spatial data management and reporting capabilities.
- Lead policy development and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with legislative and safety requirements.
- Build and nurture a high-performance team aligned with VU's values, fostering collaboration and a customer-centric culture.
Position Details:
Classification: HEP 10
Salary: $142,441 plus 17% Super
Employment Type: Fixed Term - 6 Month Secondment Opportunity
Hours per Week: 36.75/1 FTE
Location: Footscray Park Campus - 3 days on-site

About You:
- Proven expertise in managing significant human and material resources, with postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience.
- Extensive experience leading organisational-wide space planning and workplace optimisation in complex environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, synthesise, and report qualitative and quantitative data to diverse audiences, including senior governance.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing high-performing teams in dynamic, service-oriented settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and space management systems such as Archibus and SISfm
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, with experience managing operational risks and compliance.
