Reporting to:Consumer & Market Insights Director - Mars Pet Nutrition Australia

TheMarketInsightsAnalyst,isresponsible forreporting on, andanalyzingmarket trends, consumerbehavior, andthecompetitive landscape toderive powerful, data driven Insight, presented compellingly,that supportsstrategic decision-making.The role worksclosely withcategory and consumer insights,marketingandsalestoidentifyopportunities for growth and improvement.

Whatyou'lldo:

  • Be accountable for the design and delivery ofMarssales data reporting suites tothePortfolio, Sales and Leadership teamsallowing tracking of key performance indicators ina timelyand efficient manner.

  • Conduct Ad-Hoc analysis of data using multiple data sources (e.g.Circana, Shopper Panel,Quantium, Financial and bespoke research etc), toidentifytrends and patterns.

  • Preparedetailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Create andmaintaina powerful data reporting suite and the databases that they are derived from to efficiently track key performance indicators (KPIs).Includingdefining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis,modellingand visualization.

  • Assist the Strategy & Consumer Insights lead in preparing market context analysis for Strategy Days and Global visits with the skill to powerfully visualise data to support strong storytelling and persuasive findings.

What you need to bring:

  • ABachelor'sdegree in either Economics, Statistics,Mathematics, or Data Science

  • 2+years experiencein data managementoranalyticsroles ideally gained in an FMCG or retail/grocery business

  • Demonstratable experience intheanalysis of a range of internal & external data sources, drawing out key insights and forming recommendationson the basis ofsolid commercial knowledgewith linksto business strategy.

  • Superior analytic tool skills including strong Excel, Data Visualisation and statistical analysis experience, power BI reporting skills and/or SQL skills well regarded

  • Preferred: 2+ years working experience with sales data such asCircana,Quantium, Synergy
