What you'll do:
Reporting to the Reports To: APAC IT Director - Service & Operations, the Server Administrator provides advanced server management and operational support. This position ensures high levels of system availability, performance, and security across multiple environments, and supports the delivery of infrastructure projects and improvements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain enterprise servers, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
Monitor, document, and report on system capacity and usage to support business continuity.
Perform risk assessments and implement proactive maintenance, OS updates, and vulnerability remediation.
Ensure backup systems are tested, validated, and ready for disaster recovery operations.
Handle escalated support requests, resolving incidents efficiently and meeting SLA requirements.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate system documentation for internal and audit purposes.
Lead or assist with the delivery of infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
Collaborate with other IT teams to implement technical work packages and project deliverables.
Adhere to established IT policies and change management standards.
Mentor and support Level 1 Server Administrators as required.
Escalate high-impact issues or decisions as appropriate to ensure effective resolution.
About you:
You'll have a Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a server administration environment.
The skills you'll need:
Demonstrated experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
Strong knowledge of system monitoring, patching, and backup management.
Proficiency in troubleshooting server issues, performance optimization, and automation tools.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred.
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently or as part of a team.
