About the role
We're now looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer with Defence / Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group experience to support the establishment of a Depth maintenance capability for MQ4 Triton in Adelaide (Edinburgh).
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team establishing advanced maintenance capabilities for the MQ-4 Triton platform. The role involves contributing to critical work on both Australian and U.S.-based Triton aircraft while supporting the design, development, and implementation of systems, processes, and frameworks required for complex, large-scale maintenance operations. You will be part of a specialised "tiger team" driving these outcomes.
This role will suit someone who thrives in complex Defence or aerospace environments and enjoys working in a start-up phase to shape systems, processes and capabilities.
What you will be involved with
- Supporting compliant aircraft maintenance and engineering activities through applying experience and knowledge of DASA regulations (Part 66, 145, 147 and Part M) to support compliant aircraft maintenance and engineering activities
- Defining and optimising maintenance workflows and sequencing, identifying constraints to enable efficient and safe execution
- Supporting the development and maturity uplift of maintenance task cards, including configuration considerations and technical query resolution
- Contributing to the development and management of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) execution logic to support delivery
- Assisting in the development and delivery of detailed maintenance task cards/documents aligned to operational and program requirements

Developing structured, executable maintenance task plans with clear inputs, stage gates and defined pathways to support effective execution
- Defence / CASG experience (or demonstrated ability to work within Commonwealth engineering governance frameworks)
What we would like from you
- Degree-qualified Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer with experience in the aircraft maintenance environment
- Experienced Air Force / Industry aircraft maintenance manager with significant experience working in the Defence maintenance environment
- Working knowledge of DASA regulations (Part 66, 145, 147 and Part M) and their application to maintenance activities
- Experience contributing to maintenance planning, task card development and/or MRO execution in complex environments
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through technical queries and support practical, outcome-focused solutions
Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams, including fast-paced or evolving program environments
High attention to detail, with a structured approach to planning, documentation and execution
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Australian citizen and with a current or recently suspended Australian Government security clearance
