Our Recovery Unit plays a vital role in ensuring patients transition safely from anaesthesia to ongoing inpatient care or discharge. We provide high-quality monitoring, assessment and support during the immediate post-operative period, caring for a diverse range of surgical specialties and patient needs. What You Will Be Doing

As an Enrolled Nurse in the Recovery Unit, you will work within a dynamic and supportive environment caring for patients during the immediate post-operative and post-procedural period.

Working under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with your scope of practice and AHPRA requirements, you will:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred nursing care
  • Assist with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the post-anaesthetic phase
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including airway, breathing, circulation, neurological status and pain management requirements
  • Administer medications within your scope of practice and organisational policies
  • Support patients during recovery from anaesthesia and procedural sedation
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses, anaesthetists, surgeons, medical officers, allied health professionals, patients and families
  • Participate in patient handovers and multidisciplinary care planning
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient recovery environment

This role offers exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties and clinical presentations while allowing you to further develop your skills within a highly supportive perioperative environment.

  • Current registration as a Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
