Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead and manage maintenance services across the Wagga Work Centre (Wagga Wagga, Junee, Coolamon, Ardlethan and Temora).

You'll lead a skilled team of tradespeople, support staff and contractors, ensuring our buildings, plant and equipment are safe, reliable and ready to support clinical services every day.
You will be responsible to:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team
- Inspire, guide and support a team of trades, admin and support staff.
- Build capability, mentor emerging talent and create a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
- Manage recruitment, performance, rosters, leave and on call arrangements to ensure reliable service coverage.
Drive Excellence
- Schedule preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
- Prioritise work effectively and keep operations running smoothly in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Use AFMO (Tririga) to allocate, track and monitor work, ensuring tasks meet performance indicators.
- Work collaboratively with the Asset Management Team to strengthen asset information, documentation and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, modernise systems and improve service delivery.
Champion safety, compliance and quality
- Work collaboratively with the Asset Management Team to strengthen asset information, documentation and reporting.

- Drive excellence in procurement activities, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and achieving value for money.
- Support capital works, projects and Build effective partnerships
- Provide specialist technical advice to redevelopment and construction projects.
- Supervise minor capital works and assist the Capital Works team as required
- Build relationships to lead and participate in clear communications and service alignment.
- Manage key contracts, monitor performance and take proactive action when improvements are needed .Work closely with clinical teams, managers and external agencies to deliver responsive, customer focused maintenance services.
About You:
You're someone who brings energy, initiative and a practical mindset to every challenge. You enjoy leading people, improving systems and finding smarter ways to get things done.:
- Relevant tertiary or trade-based qualifications and/or extensive experience in the management of maintenance in a health or other critical environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience motivating teams in a busy service environment.
- Solid knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance, including planning and scheduling.
- A clear understanding of the regulatory environment for building, plant and equipment maintenance.
- Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems. Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet timeframes and competing demands
- National Police Check - Aged Care (or ability to acquire)
- Vaccination Category A compliance (or ability to comply)

A current Class C driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Health Service
