The Service
KU Donkin in Moss Vale, Southern Highlands, is a 20-place preschool operating during NSW term time. Surrounded by nature, our program reflects seasonal changes through activities like growing vegetables and seed propagation. We offer play-based learning tailored to each child's interests and needs in a safe, nurturing environment. Open Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm.
The Role
We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to work 7.6 hours on a Friday. In this role you will be the Teacher in Charge and receive an allowance. This role will initially be for 12 months with extension likely
We are looking for someone that shows:
- Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices in early childhood education, including promoting nature-based and eco-focused learning.
- Dedication to inclusive education, with a willingness to build skills that support the participation and success of all children.
- Openness to adapting learning environments, routines, and teaching approaches to meet diverse developmental, cultural, and individual needs.
- Commitment to relationship-based pedagogy, including developing the ability to understand and respond effectively to children's cues, behaviours, and needs.
Requirements
- Australian working rights
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and National Child Safety Training completed through Geccko
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
