Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Assistant Village Manager to join our team at Carlindi, supporting our valued client, PLS.

With the village now established and continuing to evolve, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hospitality or village operations professional to play a key leadership role in the continued success of the site.

Working closely with the Village Manager, you'll help drive operational standards, support departmental leaders, build strong relationships across the workforce and contribute to creating an exceptional experience for residents.

Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster out of Perth, this role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing operation.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Village Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the village and ensuring services are delivered to a consistently high standard.

You'll work closely with departmental leaders across catering, housekeeping, accommodation and village services, helping drive compliance, operational performance and a positive site culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being visible on site, supporting teams, solving problems and helping create a well-run operation.

You will act as a key support to the Village Manager and assist in maintaining strong relationships with both client stakeholders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Village Manager with the day-to-day operation of village services
  • Work closely with departmental leaders to ensure service delivery standards are achieved
  • Conduct operational inspections, audits and compliance checks across site
  • Assist with maintaining quality, safety and contractual compliance requirements
  • Support workforce engagement and contribute to a positive site culture
  • Build effective relationships with client stakeholders and operational teams
  • Assist with reporting, documentation and operational administration requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and service delivery
  • Support resident satisfaction through high-quality village services and facilities
  • Provide leadership support across the operation as required

About You

You're an experienced Assistant Village Manager or hospitality leader with a background in FIFO, remote site or large-scale hospitality environments.

You enjoy working across multiple areas of an operation, building relationships with teams and maintaining high standards while supporting a positive culture.

You are organised, proactive and confident working with both frontline employees and senior stakeholders.

You Will Have

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Village Manager or similar operational leadership role
  • Experience working within FIFO, remote site or village operations environments
  • Strong understanding of catering, accommodation and village services
  • Demonstrated ability to support operational compliance and service delivery standards
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across multiple departments
  • A proactive and hands-on leadership style
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Hospitality or Commercial Cookery qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience within catering operations
  • Experience working with mining, resources or remote workforce clients
  • Exposure to workforce management and mobilisation systems

Requirements

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Current National Police Clearance

Location Requirement

Candidates must be Perth-based, able to commute to Perth for FIFO travel.
