About the role:

The Ambulatory Rehabilitation Physiotherapist is a member of a community-based, multi-disciplinary specialist rehabilitation team, providing services across rehabilitation inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Working in partnership with the rehabilitation team members and the Rehabilitation Specialists, the rehabilitation Physiotherapist will contribute to the planning, development and implementation of Rehabilitation physical therapy services in Griffith and Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD). Services will focus on improving health outcomes, functional capacity and quality of life, in accordance with the MLHD Rehabilitation Clinical Service Plan.

The Rehabilitation Physiotherapist will also act as a resource to other MLHD colleagues, providing clinical supervision, mentorship and advice to less experienced peers and students.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration

  2. Strong clinical knowledge and experience delivering patient-centred, evidence-based physiotherapy services across diverse clinical settings

  3. Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities

  4. Commitment to professional development, continuous improvement and evidence-based practice

  5. Current Class C Driver Licence with willingness to travel as required for the role
