The Role

This position is responsible for facilitating the optimisation of clinical information quality and flow within SGH/TSH in order to ensure that Admitted and Non-Admitted Patient Activity Based Funding (ABF) objectives in relation to timeliness and data quality are met.

The incumbent will oversee the management of data information systems, including Cerner Electronic Medical Records (eMR) Powerchart, Discern Reporting Portal and eMR Scheduling and other required systems. The role will also provide specialised technical support for the management of Admitted and NAP data systems within SGH/TSH.

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in a related field
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical applications, such as Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and eMR powerchart and eMR Scheduling
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in maintaining data integrity, prepare, analyse and interpret statistics, data and reports
  4. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  5. Demonstrated experience working in non-admitted areas and extensive knowledge of non-admitted patient processes
  6. Proven ability to implement strategies to ensure efficient and effective service by planning; reviewing; evaluating and implementing change to achieve organisational outcomes
  7. Excellent written and oral communication including the ability to produce executive documents, negotiation, liaison and interpersonal skills
  8. Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and meet predetermined targets and deadlines, whilst being flexible and able to adapt work practices to suit circumstances
