What you'll be doing
In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to optimise patient outcomes within a complex clinical setting. You will work collaboratively with patients, families and the healthcare team to deliver responsive, high-quality care.
Deliver holistic, patient-centred care tailored to individual needs
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced unit
Coordinate care, including discharge planning and appropriate referrals
Supervise, mentor and support junior staff and students
Participate in quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives

Essential Criteria
Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Selection Criteria
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated extensive and recent critical nursing skills and experience, demonstrated resuscitation experience desired. Currently working in Critical Care Nursing or minimum 6 months recent critical experience.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
Capacity to work seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
