Hamilton Island is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Fitness Club Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Fitness Club. Your Role
As Fitness Club Coordinator, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the Fitness Club, focusing on reception, membership administration, customer service, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring members and guests enjoy a positive experience while supporting operational and compliance requirements.
Where you'll make an impact
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests
- Support daily reception and front-of-house operations
- Respond to phone, email, and in-person enquiries professionally
- Manage membership registrations and system administration
- Process payments and maintain accurate member records
- Assist with bookings, access procedures, and general administration
- Monitor the gym floor and ensure equipment areas remain tidy and safe
- Support the cleanliness and presentation of the Fitness Club
- Handle member feedback and escalate concerns when required
- Promote Fitness Club services, programs, and memberships
- Encourage positive gym etiquette and member engagement
- Support WHS compliance and operational procedures
What we're looking for
You are friendly, organised, and passionate about providing outstanding customer service. You enjoy working with people, can manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively to a team environment.
To be successful, you will need:
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Essential)
- Previous experience in a customer service or administration role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional presentation and customer-focused attitude
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous fitness, leisure, or hospitality industry experience
- Experience in a reception or membership-based environment
