BUGGY HIRE ATTENDANT - Hamilton Island / Buggy Hire
Hamilton Island is seeking a customer-focused Buggy Hire Attendant to join our Buggy Hire team. As one of the first points of contact for many guests, you'll help ensure they enjoy a safe and seamless island experience by coordinating buggy rentals, conducting vehicle briefings, and maintaining our fleet to the highest standards.

Your Role
As a Buggy Hire Attendant, you'll support the daily operation of the Buggy Hire Department, assisting guests with bookings, vehicle allocations, safe operation briefings, and rental enquiries. You'll also play an important role in maintaining the presentation, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the buggy fleet.
Where you'll make an impact
- Take and manage buggy hire bookings via phone, email, and in person
- Allocate vehicles in accordance with operational procedures
- Conduct safe operation briefings for guests before vehicle hire
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Clean, charge, rotate, and maintain the buggy fleet
- Inspect vehicles after hire periods and report damages or maintenance issues
- Respond to guest enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Ensure vehicles remain clean, safe, and operational at all times
- Maintain strict control and security of vehicle keys
- Support workplace health and safety compliance across operations
- Assist the Buggy Hire Manager and Supervisors with additional duties as required
What we're looking for
You are friendly, organised, and enjoy working with people. You have strong communication skills, take pride in delivering excellent customer service, and can confidently balance operational tasks with guest interactions in a busy environment.
To be successful, you will need:
- Current Driver Licence (Essential)
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Flexible approach to shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
