The Opportunity

WE ARE EXPANDING!
We're seeking a mid-senior level Business Controller to joinour brand-new, state-of-the-art Marsden Park facility in the northwest of Sydney.
You will play a key role in establishing strong financialcontrols, reporting frameworks, and performance standards within a newlycommissioned automated facility. This role suits a commercially minded financeprofessional who enjoys partnering with operations and building effectivefinancial structures in technically advanced environments.

About the vacancy

Main Duties

  • Coordinate and submit monthly reporting pack to group with insights and management comments in a timely manner.
  • Complete internal (Australia) NewCold reporting as required.
  • Timely and accurate completion of weekly cashflow projections.
  • Prepare covenant reporting in support of lender compliance requirements.
  • Lead the annual budget completion with wider Finance team, Commercial and Operations.
  • Rolling forecasts and supporting the Commercial team with finance and operations input.
  • Support the shared service centre regarding recurring accounting transactions and closing process.
  • Monitor the site's financial results and collaborate with Operations leadership team members to identify improvement areas.
  • Foster a const-conscious culture while focused on achieving high levels of internal customer service.
  • Works with Functional managers on improvement initiatives to optimise costs.
  • Maintain records in accordance with approved policies and statutory requirements.
  • Maintains strong internal controls.
  • Work with outside service providers like Audit, Tax, and Banking.
  • Adheres to monthly/annual financial reporting requirements.
  • To engage and manage customer relationships in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To ensure accurate and prompt communication and assistance to internal and external customers.
  • To be pro-active in resolving issues and problems before they occur.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or Finance Skills and Experience

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • 3+ years minimum experience in a similar role
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project accounting, financial accounting, taxation, management accounting, and management reporting
  • Analytical skills
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
