About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Specialist to lead quality, health, safety, and environmental initiatives at our MCC Adelaide site.

In this role, you will drive a safe, healthy, high-performing, and sustainable workplace through strong system leadership, effective coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You will ensure compliance with required standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across safety, quality, and environmental performance.

A key focus of the role is proactive risk management, supported by thorough root cause analysis and the effective implementation of corrective actions to deliver lasting outcomes.

Your duties

  • Lead and manage a safety-first culture across the site, driving strong Health & Safety outcomes while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, audits, and compliance to ensure site standards are met.
  • Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including document control.
  • Handle non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective actions, driving continuous improvement.
  • Promote and manage proactive safety practices, including incident reporting, risk management, and safety programs.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and site walk-throughs to support regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, tracking performance metrics and delivering efficiencies.
  • Deliver training, inductions, and coaching across quality and safety practices.
  • Chair the Health & Safety Committee and provide clear reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives across the site.
  • Prepare and present quality and safety performance reports.

About you

  • At least 2 – 4 years’ experience in safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving, delivering practical and sustainable outcomes.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments, incident investigations, machinery safety, and chemicals management.
  • Proficient with QHSE software (Mango or similar)
  • Confident in delivering training and facilitating sessions across all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and computer skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Work, Health, Safety or similar
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma or similar).
  • Experience utilising a Quality Management System (QMS) to execute audits, and managing non-conformances and corrective actions, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Full Australian working rights required.
