Join our dedicated Cardiology Services team as a Clinical Nurse Educator and make a real difference in patients' lives. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to work alongside skilled healthcare professionals in our North-based hospital, providing expert cardiac care to our community.

In this role, you'll use your advanced clinical skills to support education and training of staff within the LGH Cath Lab. You'll work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate nursing education programs and activities in the clinical setting.
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development within a learning and research culture, promoting patient centred inter-professional learning
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research including participation in organisational committees and working groups.
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff.

  • Substantial experience in cardiac or critical care nursing
  • Strong clinical education and training skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
