ILS Support Officer

The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer working within CASG, working on

JP9347-1 Joint Data

Networks (JDN) sub-program, completing planning, analysis, and delivery with

limited supervision

Integrated Logistics (ILS) project deliverables.

Execution will include liaison with Joint, Army, Navy and Air Force and units

requiring site visits to examine facilities and extant ILS systems. Working

closely with current Acquisition Project and Sustainment organisations to plan

and implement the capability requirements for JP9347-1.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Sharing information, monitoring work practices, setting work priorities and

developing local procedures

* Planning and managing of logistics

* Liaising with suppliers and consumers i.e. the project and Commonwealth of

Australia

* Supply chain coordination and organizing and monitoring storage and

distribution of goods

* Identify key support drivers, their risks and mitigation strategies

* Provide advice and guidance on first-principles ILS and Asset Management

concepts such as ISO55000 series specifications

* Review contract deliverables and provide authoritative feedback, including

recommendations for rectification and/or opportunities for improvement

* Transfer of knowledge to project team members as required to maintain

continuity of service

* Support planning and execution of transfer of support responsibility to

sustainment.
