What you'll be doing
The Quality Manager reports to the Director - BreastScreen Northern Sydney and Central Coast and is a member of the senior management group. In conjunction with the Director, this position is responsible for leading the development, implementation and monitoring of quality management activities and processes within the BreastScreen Service across both Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts.
The planning, development, implementation and evaluation of business improvement and risk management processes / projects to support the service including the development and management of audit tools.
Manage information collection and dissemination in relation to quality projects and work with managers to implement and evaluate identified change activities.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery (including research), outcomes for clients and implement quality focused solutions.
Identity opportunities to engage and work with stakeholders to solve issues and develop improved processes and outcomes.
Provide accurate and timely advice to the Director on accreditation and quality processes and projects. Develop and maintain robust networks and links with key stakeholders including the BreastScreen NSW Accreditation team.
Represent BreastScreen at division, LHD and state levels when appropriate, clearly explaining complex concepts and arguments to individuals and groups.
Identify, analyse, evaluate and document risks to the service and implement risk reduction and management strategies and action plans. Write and prepare documents, such a briefs and business cases fluently and persuasively in a style and format required.
In partnership with the Information and Operations Manager provide leadership in all activities relating to BreastScreen Australia's National Accreditation requirements including the preparation of associated documentation and the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for specific performance indicators.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Degree in relevant field and/or work experience in a clinical setting deemed satisfactory or equivalent.
- A commitment to quality improvement and client safety with demonstrated experience leading and managing quality processes.
- The ability to promote a culture of quality service delivery and to drive change processes within BreastScreen.
- Demonstrated experience in high level interpersonal, communication both oral and written, negotiation, advocacy and representation.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy with an excellent attention to detail and have high level computer skills including MS Office applications.
- Ability to contribute to and work effectively within a senior management team.
