This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your profession with young people whose needs are complex, highrisk and deeply impactful. As a YMHI Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver advanced, specialist psychological care to young people engaged with headspace services across Penrith and Hawkesbury. This position will work across Headspace Penrith and Headspace Hawkesbury Offices.
Your role will span comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, risk formulation and care planning, alongside the delivery of evidencebased individual, group and family interventions. You will bring sophisticated formulation skills across neurodevelopmental, cognitive and functional domains, contributing to integrated, traumainformed and youthfocused care within a shortterm intervention model.
As a senior clinician, you will work with a high degree of autonomy while providing clinical leadership, supervision and service development to Headspace and Child and Youth Mental Health staff within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. You will sit alongside clinicians from the Early Psychosis Intervention program and report to the Youth Mental Health Clinical Lead, playing a key role in shaping highquality psychological care across the service.

What you will bring to the role
- Accredited post-graduate Master's Degree or higher in Clinical Psychology with full registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement.
- Advanced proficiency in Psychological assessment, diagnosis, use of psychometric tools, risk assessment, and case formulation for young people. Competence in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g. CBT, DBT, family therapy, trauma-informed therapies) suitable to youth mental health. Ability to adapt modalities to developmental stages, intellectual capacity, cultural background, and clinical presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish clinical goals and improved consumer care and outcomes. Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Ability to provide clinical consultation, supervision and mentoring to other staff and agencies. Participate/ lead peer supervision and collegial case review. Experience providing clinical supervision to less experienced Psychologists, provisional Psychologists, Psychology trainees and other staff.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with young people and their families/carers from diverse backgrounds; demonstrated ability to provide clear, timely documentation and reports consistent with NSW Health, legal and professional (APHRA Board of Psychology) standards
- Lead or contribute to service development, evaluation, or research projects relevant to youth mental health. Skills in audit, quality improvement, outcome measurement. Willingness to contribute to development of clinical protocols, policy, guidelines, and in-service education and training.
- Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice, as well as demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma informed care and its application when working with adolescent and youth mental health and their families/ carers/ support systems.
- Current driver's license and willingness to use for work purposes
