Utilities Coordinator (Engineer)

About the Role
We have opportunities for an Intermediate and a Senior Utilities Coordinator within our our Community Development Utilities team. As a Utilities Coordinator, you will play a key role in the planning, design and delivery of utilities for major civil, transport infrastructure and renewable energy projects across NSW. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will coordinate complex utility interfaces, manage stakeholders, and drive outcomes that support project success. Previous experience in coordinating the delivery of utilities, providing technical advice to both project teams and clients will assist you greatly in fulfilling the responsibilities listed below.
This role can be based in either Sydney or Wollongong Stantec office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the coordination and management of utility design activities across major projects
Interface with utility authorities to manage approvals, relocations, and service protection strategies
Deliver utilities coordination for large civil, transport infrastructure and renewable energy projects
Manage projects from initial lodgement through to delivery, ensuring programme and budget targets are met
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative solutions
Undertake data analysis and technical reviews to support project outcomes
Represent projects in client, stakeholder, and community consultation forums
Conduct site inspections and field investigations
Mentor and support the development of junior staff
About You
Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Utilities Coordinator and/or Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC)
Strong understanding of utility authority requirements, processes, and approvals
Experience working on large-scale transport infrastructure and/or renewable energy projects
Demonstrated project management capability, including delivery to time and budget
Proficiency in 12D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS and MS Office suite
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally
