About the Team:

The Administration and Governance team provides end-to-end administrative, compliance, and operational support across VU TAFE, ensuring that all activities align with regulatory requirements, funding contracts, and university policy.

About the Role:

The Administrative officer position is a busy role which provides administrative support across the student lifecycle within vocational education. Reporting to the Administrative Coordinator, the Administrative Officer works closely with teaching area Managers to provide a customer focused service to current and future students and other stakeholders

Position Key Duties:

  • Provide high level organisational and administrative support to the program area to ensure all administrative matters related to the student lifecycle are managed effectively for a positive student experience.
  • Establishment and maintenance of effective record keeping practices to ensure evidence is retained for audit purposes and as per VE Record Keeping Procedures
  • Responsible for keeping up to date and staying informed of relevant legislative, quality and compliance changes affecting TAFE
  • Timely processing and following up of admissions, withdrawals, results, completions, RPL & credit transfer, unit additions as well as other student related processes.
  • Responsible for assisting in coordination of student surveys within the program area

Position Details

  • Classification: HEP5
  • Salary: $79,135 per annum (pro rata) - $90,899 per annum (pro rata)
  • Employment Type: Fixed term until Dec 2026
  • Hours per Week: 29.4 (0.8 FTE)
  • Location: Sunshine

About You:

  • Experience in providing high level organisational and administrative support in a similar role with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver quality client / customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills together with the ability to adapt to changing work practices and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team, together with the capability to work independently and meet the position objectives.
