Reporting to the Head of GTS, Australia & New Zealand, the Head of Business Management is accountable for translating GTS strategy into execution. Taking on this key high-profile role, you will support the business to ensure clarity of market priorities, effective resource allocation, strong governance, and delivery of strategic initiatives that support sustainable revenue growth, cost discipline, and organisational effectiveness across Australia and New Zealand. Acting as a trusted right hand to the Head of GTS, you will distil management information into clear, actionable insights and translate complex topics into concise, executive-ready messaging for presentation to senior internal stakeholders, and externally to clients and industry leaders. Additionally, you will also help to ensure income and budgets are accurately tracked and allocated, and lead with energy and adaptability in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly-using your strong communication and influencing skills to rally the broader GTS team and your own direct reports. This is a high-profile opportunity with strong exposure to senior decision-makers and broad visibility across GTS and the wider bank. You will be at the center of key strategic conversations, with genuine scope to shape outcomes, accelerate your own growth, and build a platform for future progression. Responsibilities: Acting as chief of staff supporting Head of GTS in executing the GTS strategy, including priorities, targets and strategic initiatives aligned to Group objectives. Driving GTS business management including planning, financial oversight, cost control and performance management, while also shaping and delivering the GTS target operating model, organisation design and transformation initiatives. Supporting the Country Head of GTS in running day-to-day business and operations, including delivery of revenue and balance sheet outcomes and effective cost management. Providing high-quality, timely insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and investment evaluation, including performance tracking, analytics, business lead generation and growth initiatives. Managing and coordinating papers, presentations and materials for business performance and strategy reviews, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. Positioning GTS as a market leader, through effective strategic communications, presentations, internal and external engagement and industry participation. Working closely with the Head of GTS to lead the people agenda, building leadership capability in a high performing team culture with high employee engagement. Partnering with senior stakeholders across GTS, Corporate & Institutional Banking and bank wide functions, developing relationships to ensure alignment of priorities, consistent messaging and efficient problem solving both locally and globally. Ensuring effective governance, operational risk management and adherence to regulatory, compliance and internal control requirements. Requirements: Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with a proven track record of driving initiatives that deliver tangible results. Demonstrated success operating in a similar role in the banking industry, with trade finance experience an advantage. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify and distil complex data into presentations for a senior executive audience, driving alignment and consistent messaging across diverse markets and stakeholders. Experience in data analytics and strong digital acumen (advantage), including analysing internal/external data. Strong judgement and leadership skills, with experience advising and constructively challenging senior executives. Experience building, leading, developing and motivating high performance teams. Strong commercial, financial and governance capability, including experience in business planning, Profit & Loss management, cost management, within a regulated environment. Strong understanding of governance, operational risk and internal controls, with a disciplined approach to policy/procedural compliance and timely escalation of issues. A degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
