You will join an agile product development team creating Wenco’s next generation products. We are looking for someone with strong technical capability for a team creating high performance, high availability business critical capabilities. You will be responsible for helping to create and mature the test automation capabilities within Wenco R&D - we target 100% test automation.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
- Development
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks
- Define and review test cases and test plans for in-Sprint testing as well as customer UAT
- Design and implement automated tests that leverage the framework
- Provide support and integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Support technical services and operations teams with investigation and reproduction of customer issues.
- Technical leadership
- Be relentless in pursuit of continuous improvement
- Promote a culture of quality within the development team
- Identify opportunities to apply automation to achieve process or product improvement
- Product development support
- Interface with product management/owners and developers to define and improve requirements and automated and manual test cases.
- Work with the Technical Documentation team to create content for instructions and user guides for customers
Experience and Knowledge
- You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in software and test automation development
- You have strong programming skills in Python and at least one other programming language
- You have experience in the BDD style of developing test automation
- You have experience working on complex systems comprised of edge and cloud computing elements, sensing and sensor processing communicating using fixed and wireless networks
- You can analyse system requirements and create testing strategies and test cases to verify those requirements
- You have experience in developing test automation for live cloud-based products that constantly update to provide higher quality and new features.
- You have an interest in delivering high-quality and high-standard products to businesses and consumers.
- You enjoy working in an environment where you are learning new technologies and concepts and solving complex problems with your team
Education & Eligibility
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
