Territory Sales Mgr-Automotive Replacement (NSW/WA)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Territory Sales Manager AR executes plans and strategies in line with the country AR strategy with designated channels. Incumbent ensures Gates has a solid relationship with all major distributors, decision makers and channels in the responsible region and Gates is the preferred brand of choice for all mechanical workshops by delivering market leading products and support which drives demand for our distributors.
The role requires 80% of the time to be devoted to customer visits / meetings and representing Gates at Trade Shows and Conferences and 20% of the time to administrative tasks - i.e., developing the coming week's plan, analysing sales data, preparing reports for management, emails, updating the CRM database.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountabilities:
- Prepares action plans and implements strategy using a CRM database to grow sales / business in the assigned region, which involves:
- Generating additional revenues from existing customers and/or
- Penetrating new markets and customers by identifying sales leads and prospects for the responsible market
- Establishes a sound professional relationship with decision makers at important customers and/or potential new customers to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Creates and conducts technical and commercial presentations, proposals; and conducts distributor or end-user training to ensure understanding of Gates automotive products
- Responsible for meeting sales objectives
- Manages the performance of channel partners
- Interacts with all company employees in a professional and respectable manner.
- Attends Gates team meetings
- Completes reports requested by management on time and in an acceptable form including populating a CRM
Functional:
- Leads sales activity in designated region / territory
- Maintains and develops key business relationships across new and existing customers

Requirements and Preferred Skills
- Ability to influence high level engagement and relationship building
- An excellent ability to listen, understand and deliver on customer needs and requirements
- Computer skill in Microsoft software essential
- Presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay driven & focused
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge and implementation of sales management, marketing and selling techniques.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of automotive replacement product applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years experience Account manager experience in a similar capacity to this position.
- Knowledge of automotive industry preferred
