About Our School
St Thomas More College is a Brisbane Catholic Education co‐educational secondary college catering for approximately 1,030 students. Our college opened in 1974 and, from inception, has developed a strong commitment to the pastoral care of students. - Salary: $86,601 – $124,725 per annum + 12.75% Super (commensurate with experience)

- Deliver engaging English and Humanities lessons that meet curriculum standards, differentiate for diverse learners and foster a positive classroom environment.
- Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community.
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.
- Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
- Creating a supportive, learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
- A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.
