The Role

We are seeking a Development Chemist to join our Research and Development team in Perth. Reporting to the Global GLT Metallurgy Manager, this role enables the chemical and analytical development activities that advance Draslovka's proprietary GlyCat and GlyLeach technologies from laboratory findings through to commercial application.


What You'll Do

  • Design, execute, and oversee chemistry and analytical R&D programmes that meet defined research and development objectives
  • Lead laboratory test work focused on Draslovka's Glycine Leaching Technology across a range of ore types and processing conditions
  • Collate, interpret, and report on test data and assay results, producing high-quality technical reports for internal and client-facing use
  • Manage project plans, test schedules, and budgets, providing regular progress updates to the Global GLT Metallurgy Manager
  • Apply and develop analytical techniques for gold and base metals determination, including ICP-OES/MS, AAS, and XRF
  • Mentor graduate chemists and undergraduate students, contributing to a culture of scientific rigour within the R&D team


What You'll Bring

  • PhD in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related discipline preferred; MPhil/MSc or BEng/BSc considered with demonstrated applied research experience
  • Minimum 10 years of laboratory and applied research experience in gold mining or minerals processing
  • Deep expertise in hydrometallurgical chemistry, including cyanide leaching and glycine-based lixiviant systems
  • Proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, and technical reporting
  • Membership of AusIMM or RACI highly regarded
