What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead, coordinate and evaluate clinical education programs that enhance nursing capability, support best practice and improve patient outcomes across the rehabilitation service.
Design, implement and evaluate education programs, orientation and mandatory training initiatives
Mentor and support nursing staff to achieve and maintain clinical competence and professional development goals
Facilitate bedside teaching and clinical learning using advanced clinical knowledge and adult learning principles
Partner with nursing leadership and key stakeholders to identify learning needs and drive service improvement
Promote evidence based practice, quality improvement, patient safety and person centred care initiatives

Essential Criteria
Registration:Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
