What you'll be doing
In this rewarding role, you will support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness on their recovery journey through person-centred, evidence-based care. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide comprehensive mental health services across the continuum.

  • Conduct triage, comprehensive assessments, and develop personalised care plans

  • Deliver psychological, family-based interventions and care coordination

  • Collaborate with hospitals, emergency services, NGOs and community agencies

  • Advocate for consumers and support meaningful recovery outcomes

  • Contribute to service improvement, clinical review, and multidisciplinary care planning

Essential Requirements:

Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Occupational Therapist OR for Social Workers, eligibility to be a member of the AASW

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.

  2. Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice

  3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.

  4. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.

  5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.

  6. Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.

  7. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
