Position Overview

The Associate Product Manager supports the execution of brand strategy and tactical marketing initiatives, working crossfunctionally to deliver commercial objectives while ensuring compliance with local pharmaceutical regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Execution

Support the Senior Marketing Manager in executing strategy and annual brand plans

Assist in the development of a tactical marketing initiatives aligned with brand positioning and business objectives.

Contribute to product lifecycle management activities (launch, growth, maturity)

Monitor key financial areas including the recording of monthly sales, expenditure and margins

Cooperation with implementation of activities with key customers

Attend relevant trade events

Marketing and Promotional Activities

Develop and coordinate promotional materials for healthcare professionals, including detailing aids, visual aids, digital assets, and conference materials

Coordinate with agencies (creative, media, digital) for asset development.

Manage marketing campaigns across channels (sales force, digital, conferences, medical education)

Track campaign effectiveness and recommend optimizations.

Manage approval process through Veeva PromoMats with approval team and agency to meet agreed timelines

Distribution of marketing materials to the sales team, conference venues and customers as required

Manage Sales and Marketing SharePoint and ensure approved marketing materials assets are filed.

Keep inventory of marketing materials up to date in the marketing stock room. Discard expired items.

CRM/IQVIA Reporting and Data Management

Coordinate with Operations to ensure Monthly ex-factory data submitted to IQVIA

Provide troubleshooting support on IQVIA and Veeva to the sales and marketing teams.

Liaising with Veeva and IQVIA for new updates/ changes

Provide Veeva CRM training to new staff as required

Submit PBS pricing disclosure data every cycle on PDDA portal with information from Finance and Operations.

Budget Management and Reporting

Enter new vendor on Navex system

Assist in preparing SOW and coordinate MSA approval with management

Initiate and escalate payment SOP on supplier invoices

Responsible for monitoring spend to budget

Commercial Support

Manage conferences, meetings & events

Provide support for commercial team meetings (arrange meetings, agenda and minutes)

Complete required reports within designated timeframes (e.g. monthly reports, expenses)

Ensure filing and documentation is up-to-date and in compliant with standard processes and formats

Collaboration and Teamwork

Build effective crossfunctional relationships with Supply Chain, Finance, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, and Customer Service.

Communicate effectively with internal teams and management.

Support efficient execution of projects and initiatives.

Knowledge and Compliance

Ensure all activities comply with Medicines Australia Code and local regulations.

Maintain knowledge of products, competitors, and therapeutic areas.

Always follow pharmacovigilance and internal SOPs.

Participate in relevant industry and product education activities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • Qualifications in Science, Therapeutic area, Product and Hospital knowledge is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in a pharmaceutical sales or marketing role (2+ years)
  • Experience using the VEEVA PromoMats and IQVIA MiPortal advantageous
  • Completed (or plan to complete) the Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
  • Results or action oriented and resilient
  • Motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
