The Team
The Midlands Multi-Purpose Health Centre (MMPHC) located one hour north of Hobart. The centre delivers an integrated care model that services the Midlands community and surrounds. The service includes a 24hr Emergency care, typically nurse lead but with on call medical cover and support. Within the centre there are 4 acute care beds, 18 residential aged care beds and primary health services with visiting allied health and specialty services.
The Role
The Registered Nurse will:
- Strengthen health outcomes through the delivery of safe, high-quality, and clinically appropriate nursing care.
- Work in partnership with patients, clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to ensure optimal care delivery.
You will need
Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Interact effectively with patients, clients, families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
Participation in the provision of quality care to the acute patients, emergency presentations and to the residents of the aged care within the facility and support processes to meet both Aged Care Accreditation and NSQHS.
Experience in emergency management or the willingness to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.
Details of appointment
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as you are ready to join our team for approximately 12 months.

Salary
$80,524 to $102,295 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife
