The Development Coordination Authority (DCA) has been established to strengthen how NSW Government agencies work together within the development assessment system. Acting as a central coordination point for agency advice, the Authority will streamline referral processes, resolve issues earlier and deliver clearer, more consistent input to consent authorities-supporting faster, better-informed planning outcomes across NSW.
Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help shape and embed a new operating model for planning coordination, contributing directly to system reform and the delivery of housing, infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.
The role
You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, analysing how DCA services, systems and processes operate end to end. By working closely with service areas and stakeholders, you'll capture business needs, map processes and define clear requirements that support service design, automation and continuous improvement across DCA's digital landscape.
You'll work directly with digital teams to translate those requirements into innovative, user-friendly, end-to-end digital systems and solutions that drive efficiency and directly support the people and work across the entire DCA organisation. You'll also develop DCA's long-term digital roadmap, identifying initiatives that drive ongoing improvement to DCA's digital infrastructure.

What you will bring to the role Knowledge of the NSW planning, assessment and approval environments including relevant legislation, policy, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
Strong experience in developing digital requirements, mapping current state and modelling future state processes, systems and workflows including customer journeys within a complex stakeholder environment.
Demonstrated ability working within a multi-disciplinary, service-oriented team.
What is an essential requirement:
Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
