Senior Associate, Operational Due Diligence & Oversight

Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Due Diligence and Oversight, you will support the operational due diligence and ongoing oversight program across our external investment manager portfolio. This includes assessing governance, risk, compliance, investment operations and cybersecurity practices across multiple asset classes.
You'll work closely with Investments, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams and play a key role in ensuring the Fund meets its regulatory obligations, including APRA Prudential Standards. This is a hands-on role with genuine breadth and impact across one of Australia's largest investment portfolios.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
Plan and lead operational due diligence visits with external investment managers, covering governance, risk, compliance, people, investment operations and cybersecurity.
Clearly document ODD assessments and maintain up-to-date manager information.
Manage relationships with external managers and provide constructive feedback on expectations and requirements.
Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory and operational change initiatives impacting external managers.
Collaborate with Investments Legal to ensure contracts capture ODD and regulatory requirements.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure external managers meet operational requirements on an ongoing basis.
Review and manage external manager incidents, breaches and compliance responses, including GS007/SOC 1 reports and regulatory documentation.
Maintain records and support continuous improvement of the ODD framework and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
What You'll Need
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Legal or a related discipline.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements including APRA CPS 230 and SPS 530.
Experience in risk and compliance across multiple asset classes.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organisational capability.
Experience in operational risk or compliance within investment operations or funds management environments.
