Service Desk Engineer
Our IT team is the engine behind Quantium's global operations - ensuring our team of data scientists, analysts, consultants and engineers have the tools and technology they need to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. As a Service Desk Engineer in our Sydney office, you will be the face of IT for our Sydney team, providing hands-on, on-site technical support that keeps our people productive and our operations running at full speed.
How will you make an impact?

- Hardware management: Manage laptop re-imaging, stock and asset management to keep our team equipped and productive
- Account and identity management: Handle account provisioning, resets and identity tasks to keep our team connected and secure
- Team collaboration: Partner with our India-based IT team and Sydney-based senior IT colleagues to triage and resolve on-site requests efficiently
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to the development of IT support processes and knowledge sharing across the broader IT team
The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team
- Technical foundation: 1-4 years of IT support experience, ideally within an internal team at a tech-forward or tech-adjacent company (e.g. hyperscalers, SaaS, or technology consultancies)
- Multi-platform proficiency: Hands-on experience supporting both Mac and Windows environments
- Networking basics: Comfortable troubleshooting connectivity issues and supporting users with network problems at the desk
- Customer-first approach: Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, professional approach to face-to-face support - our users are technically savvy, so you will need to be too
- Problem-solving mindset: A natural flair for diagnosing and resolving issues at the desk, with the confidence to know when and how to escalate
- AV and conferencing support: Experience setting up and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment and video conferencing hardware (e.g. room displays, cameras, Zoom or Teams Rooms setups) is highly regarded
Remember - you might not tick all the boxes, but don't let that stop you applying. We're more interested in how you work, your ability to solve problems and your approach to supporting people.
