Registered Nurse

The Opportunity

Minkara Resort is in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches with stunning views over Bayview and Mona Vale. Set over 30 acres, the community creates a tranquil setting for low-maintenance retirement. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, medication assistance, social support and clinical leadership to residents living within their Aveo home. Our Registered Nurses have a strong focus on clinical standards & decision making, supporting fellow care team members and building connections with residents in a community-style environment.

This is a permanent part-time position working Monday to Wednesday 7:30am-3:30pm (Days are negotiable)

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home nursing support, including medication assistance, wound care, personal hygiene care and general clinical assistance
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as family members, paramedics and GPs, while providing internal supervision to fellow care team members
• Complete administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date in our Care Management System (Alayacare)
• Attend to any first aid and medical emergencies in a calm and professional manner
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

What you'll bring

• Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse, in a similar setting, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents and confidence to engage with family members
• Division 1 AHPRA registration, current CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (highly regarded)
