South Coast Baptist College (SCBC) is seeking a highly organised, caring, and proactive Primary Student Services Administrator to join our Primary School team.


This rewarding role is at the heart of the Primary School, providing essential support to students, families, and staff while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of student services, events, communications, and administration.

Working closely with the Head of School, Executive Assistant, Primary PA, teaching staff, and external service providers, you will contribute to creating a welcoming, professional, and student-focused environment where students can thrive.

About the role

The Primary Student Services Administrator provides frontline support for students, parents, and visitors while coordinating a range of administrative, operational, and student service functions within the Primary School.

This diverse role supports student wellbeing, parent engagement, excursions, events, specialist service bookings, and daily school operations. You will be a key point of contact within the Primary School and play an important role in fostering a positive and supportive school culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support and assistance to students throughout the school day
  • Welcome and assist parents, visitors, and new families
  • Manage parent enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Coordinate student services and support day-to-day student wellbeing needs
  • Manage consent forms, permissions, and communications for excursions and events
  • Coordinate bus bookings for excursions, swimming lessons, and school activities
  • Support the administration of specialist student services, including Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and Counselling bookings
  • Assist with school events, reward programs, transition activities, and certificate presentations
  • Coordinate stationery ordering and distribution
  • Support excursion planning, logistics, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor and report maintenance and facility issues
  • Contribute to safety, compliance, and emergency management processes, including Fire Warden responsibilities

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A caring, calm, and professional approach when working with students and families
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to the Christian mission and values of the College

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated administration experience, preferably within an education or service environment
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Active involvement in a church or Christian community
  • Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment

Highly Regarded

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a school administration role
  • Experience using Compass or similar student management systems
  • Experience coordinating events, excursions, or student services within a school setting
