About the role
The Ballistic Support Officer is responsible, for providing forensic ballistics support including the generation of physical evidence associated with firearms and prohibited weapons/articles in support of criminal and coronial investigations.
This position provides vital support to the Ballistics Investigation Section, whose primary function is to deliver forensic ballistics expertise and technical advice to the NSW Police Force. The Ballistic Support Officer also provides support to the Weapons and Ordnance Disposal Unit. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly specialised and impactful area of forensic science.

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
