Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will assist with personal care, communication, and mobility needs while ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients. This role involves working closely with clients to follow their individualized care plans, assist with rehabilitation exercises, and monitor and report changes in their health status.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating

- Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs

- Participating in planning the care of individuals

- Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems

- Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care

- Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications

- Providing direct support and assistance to therapists

Required Qualification & Work Experience

Personal Care Assistant Trainee

• Offshore
  • At least 12 months of experience (or study equivalent) in Personal Care Assistant within the last 24 months.
  • PTE 30+

• Onshore: Opportunity for 462/485 Visa Holders

Personal Care Assistant

• Have at least 2 year of work experience as a Personal Care Assistant
• At least a relevant AQF Certificate III in Individual Support or higher qualification or equivalent or 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute for the qualification.
• English requirement: IELTS score of 5.0 overall (or equivalent), and minimum of IELTS score 4.0 (or equivalent) for individual bands.
