APS6 Senior ICT Service Operations Officers

Essential criteria

1.Demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) supporting the delivery of IT enhancement projects. Such experience may relate to instrument control software, data mapping and storage, workflow management or information management systems.

2.Demonstrated self-motivation and organisational skills, combined with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, working autonomously under very broad direction.

3.The ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrated experience of negotiation and influence to establish and maintain productive working relationships with management as well as operational staff and vendors.

4.Excellent communication skills, particularly for engaging with a diverse range of laboratory staff, report and technical writing.

5.Experience in supporting ICT operations in scientific laboratories, either as an analyst or support role.

6.Must have an active Baseline AGSVA security clearance (at time of potential interview).

Desirable criteria

1.Tertiary qualifications in either chemistry/biology/physics/engineering/ICT areas are desirable.

2.Knowledge in Software Development, Cyber Security and Data Analysis is desirable.

3.Knowledge in Scientific Laboratory Standards and accreditations (i.e. TGA, NATA) is desirable.
