We're looking for:


The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer is a key member of the DevOps, Platforms & Cloud Engineering practice, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud platforms. This role combines deep cloud engineering expertise with strong automation, DevOps, and operational practices to support high quality and reliable delivery across the organisation.


What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and modern automation practices
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, and security through proactive engineering and continuous optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams to support seamless deployment and operations
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud native services to enable consistent, automated delivery
  • Enhance monitoring, observability, and alerting to increase visibility and reduce operational risk
  • Partner with engineering teams and leaders to contribute to cloud patterns, standards, and best practices


What you bring:

  • Experience designing and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, identity, and cost governance
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) and automation tooling
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud native delivery workflow
  • Understanding of DevOps and/or SRE principles such as reliability, resilience, observability, and automation
  • Ability to contribute to cloud architecture and engineering decisions and help guide platform direction


Nice to have (but not required):
Experience in platform engineering or developer experience platforms
Understanding of security operations, threat modelling, or zero trust principles
Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerised workloads
Familiarity with Azure Policy, governance frameworks, and compliance tooling
Exposure to Enterprise Landing Zone Architecture
Participation in engineering communities of practice or cloud governance groups
Experience with mentoring, coaching, or technical leadership
Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders
